Stewarts working with Coventry University on historic former city centre cinema building transformation

Our team is proud to be taking a lead role with Coventry University and the project team in delivering a project within their iconic Ellen Terry Building built in 1880. With its art deco façade, this building still catches the eye today.

We are pleased to be working with Robothams Architects, Gardiner & Theobald LLP and Overbury on this project.

The Ellen Terry building, a former cinema at the heart of the University’s city centre campus, is being given an internal transformation. It houses the media and performance arts courses and is named after Dame Ellen Terry, a star of the Victorian age and one of the leading Shakespearian actresses of her time.

The University and the project team plan to breathe new life into the building’s specialist facilities, remodelling and upgrading its theatre and performance changing rooms and teaching areas to take the building’s utility and flexibility to the next level.
